Covid-19
Updates on COVID-19 at SWAMI Home
As part of MOH’s efforts to protect seniors in nursing homes, all staff and residents of nursing homes are required to be tested for COVID-19. With the support from AIC and KTPH, SWAMI Home has completed its full testing for all staff and residents and all the test results are negative. With regard to SWAMI Home’s first index case of COVID-19, we wish to update that the doctors have confirmed that our staff is not infected with COVID-19.
Please be assured that SWAMI Home will continue to take the enhanced precautionary measures as advised by MOH-AIC to keep our residents and staff safe. We will also continue to monitor the COVID-19 situation closely to ensure the well-being and safety of our residents and staff.
Suspension of Visitations Post Circuit Breaker
In compliance with MOH’s advisory, SWAMI Home will continue to suspend all face-to-face visits for our residents post circuit breaker (after 1 June 2020) until further notice. We recognise that this is difficult for our residents and their loved ones, hence, SWAMI Home has been offering the alternative platforms of using phone calls and video calls to let them continue to communicate with their loved ones.
This has been a challenging period for seniors, families, and service providers, and the collective vigilance has helped to keep COVID-19 numbers low. These measures as advised by MOH are necessary to ensure that seniors may tide through COVID-19 safely, and MOH will continue to make the adjustments if required.
Thank you.
